Performance Rules and Regulations

 

  • All festival auditions will be based on the following criteria:

~ Talent - (Ability, expertise, skill, proficiency, knowledge)

~ Showmanship - (Poise, confidence, projections, adaptability, stage presence)

~ Appearance - (Creative, appropriate)

  • All participants must be U.S. citizens or have a current valid visa.

  • Audition registration fee is:

    • Early $25 by May15th 2015

    • Registration $35 before May29th 2015

    • Late $50 After Augest 1st

    • Restration closes August 19th 2015

  • Audition participants will be selected on a first come, first serve basis pending suitability of content for public performance, space/equipment constraints, and the desired length of the performance.

  • All entries/content must be pre-approved by Seven Lights Productions (SLP). Manager will notify you if your  approved into the line-up no later than Wednesday, June 10th

  • Please check in by 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, Augest 23rd. Each entry will be given a  predetermined time to perform.   The order of performance will be posted on the 7ASF FaceBook Event Page by 1:00 p.m. the week before the show.   The order is subject to change; always be prepared to perform!

  • An opportunity for sound checks will be provided at 11:00 pm. All sound checks must be completed by 1 p.m. therefore full rehearsals will not be allowed.

  • Any cancellations must be reported to our office by 12:00 noon, Thursday, August  20th

  • Due to space, time and equipment constraints, we cannot allow bands with a setup time greater than 1 minute to participate.

  • The length of the group’s performance must adhere to a maximum of 3-6 minutes. The group may be stopped for going over the maximum 6 minutes.

  • SLP is not responsible for props, defective CD’s etc.

  • Stage size is set and no addition may be added to show content.

  • No sexually explicit, vulgar, obscene or racially slurred content or actions will be permitted. No risqué costuming or racial body painting is allowed. Furthermore, if SLP considers the performance to be in poor taste, the performance is unacceptable according to the rules and the discretion of the officials.

  • Flips and risky actions are not allowed. Violations as determined SLP officials will result in interruption of performance.

  • One layer of clothing must be kept on at all times, top and bottom.

  • Weapons of any kind are illegal on the SLP events and are not allowed.

  • Be prepared to enter and exit the stage quickly to keep the show flowing. Therefore, plan ahead with any “set up/tear down” your performance might require.

  • Participants are required to have a Video Consent Form and Show Risk and Responsibility Forms signed and turned in with entry form and fees. Participation will not be allowed without the signed forms.

  • Decisions made by the judges are final. Disputes with officials or judges concerning these decisions will result in disqualification.

  • Reserved entry to the festival will be provided for participants as well as one guardian for each participant under 16 years of age.
